The Justice Theater Conference brought together social and economic justice organizers with theater, art, storytellers, and puppet makers to share skills, culture, struggles and a shared vision for a world free from poverty. The amazing collaboration was an insight into what’s to come this spring–OUR HARBOR DAY, MAY 1, 2010–a huge theatrical participation play at the Baltimore Inner Harbor.
This workshop was facilitated by Bashi Rose and Mitchell Ferguson with NOMMO Theater. An excerpt from the Workshop Break Out handout describes this workshop experience as a culmination of improvisation, free writing, excerpts of original NOMMO plays, and group discussions to be used as blueprints for guerrilla theater actions.
